For women and mothers: The Doctor in the House
The Doctor in the House campaign launched in October 2005. The campaign focuses on women as the healthcare decision-maker—the “doctor in the house” in some regards—in many American households.
Recognizing women often serve as the “doctor in the house,” we provide educational materials to help women care for their families. Over-the-Counter Medicines: Keeping You and Your Family Healthy has information for women, mothers, and caregivers. The brochure is available free of charge. Consumers can take the brief and informative OTCs 101 quiz online to test how much they know about their medicines.
For mature Americans: Drug Facts for Mature Americans
With Americans 60 and over taking more medications—both prescription and over-the-counter—than any other age group, we launched a campaign to help this important group manage multiple medications. The campaign features educational seminars across the country as well as the informational pamphlet, Active Ingredients for a Healthy Lifestyle. The pamphlet is available in the publications section.
All materials are available free of charge, inform on the safe and responsible use of medicines, and encourage interaction with healthcare professionals.
